Do you wish there was a way to be more prepared for your dental implant treatment? If so, our Jackson Dental team is more than happy to help you! We believe that the more you know about the treatment, the more prepared you will be. So, Dr. Thomas Jackson and our team are happy to tell you all about the three phases involved in the treatment:

Phase 1
First, your dentist will place a small titanium post into the bone socket of your missing tooth. Then, the jawbone will need to heal around the post to secure it into place. The healing process could take anywhere between six to 12 weeks.

Phase 2
Once your bone has healed around the post, your dentist will attach a connector post, which is also known as an abutment. This abutment will hold the replacement tooth in place. Your dentist will then make impressions of your tooth and will take models of your bite. Then, they will send that information to a dental lab so the technicians can create your dental crown or bridge.

Phase 3
Once your restoration is created, your dentist will check its shape, size, and color to make sure it fits perfectly with your smile. If it exceeds expectations, they will place the crown or bridge over the abutment, giving you the natural-looking smile you deserve.
